Experiment.  


The museum is profoundly experimental, and the museum’s collections are the main laboratory, although many experiments happen outside the its walls. Being experimental means taking risks – an experiment that cannot fail isn’t an experiment – and above all measuring. You can’t improve what you can’t measure. Only by being self-critical, and testing hypotheses against results can the museum discover new and more effective ways to support learning.
